It's a New Year!!! Wanna win something???

Happy New Year!  It's hard to believe that it's 2012 already.   I swear it was just 1999 and everybody was freaking out over Y2K - remember?  Remember that?  Man, time flies.

I, for one, am welcoming in 2012 with wide open arms.  It's a new year, a time for new possibilities and new adventures.  Speaking of new adventures, this blog has been a great one for me.  It's becoming more than I ever thought it would and it's exciting to think about.  I have readers from all over and I THANK YOU all for following, commenting, and even emailing me every now and again.

2012 will bring some changes here.  I've decided to throw my readers some love and start participating in sponsorships and give-a-ways.  It's taken me some time to come to this decision but I'm certain I can maintain my blog identity and integrity and still share the love.  Be assured that I will not take on sponsors, or do give-a-ways, for things that I, myself, wouldn't use or support.  And, the majority of my blogging will be what it has always been, just me sharing my love of all things crafty.

Speaking of things crafty, I'm still getting requests to show tutorials on some of my jewelry.  So, the question I have for you - which piece are you most interested in learning first?  Drop me a response in the comment section and you'll automatically be entered to win one of my jewelry pieces!  If you win, you can pick the piece.  I've listed a few new designs on my Jewelry page so be sure to check them out before you respond.

I'll close the drawing on January 8th and then I'll do a tutorial for the piece that gets the most votes.  Sound good?  And, remember, if you are entering, please sign in with a name.   "Anonymous" visits here a lot but if she wins I won't know how to contact her.  Just sayin'!

Let's recap:
1- look at my jewelry items page here:  Then She Made... Jewelry
2- leave me a comment on which item you'd like a tutorial on
3- On January 8th, I'll close the comments and pick a winner.
4- The winner will be notified and get to pick a custom piece of jewelry
5- I will post the tutorial for the item with the most votes.

It's easy enough, right?  Of course it is!

Thanks for stopping in, and again, Happy New Year!

I LOVE the steampunk heart pendant. Both of my girls have congenital heart defects and I think it would be a cool kind of "souvenir" to remind me of how special they are and how lucky we are to have them here with us. All of your pieces are gorgeous though.

Happy New Year!!! I really like the textured bead bracelet, I would like to know how to make something similar to that. I am sure that it is rather easy to make, but I have never tried jewelry making before and love the look of it. I would love to be able to make something like this for my close friends as gifts for their birthdays!

Kristin Whitehead said...

Wow you have so many great pieces but I have to say that my favorite is the "Courage" necklace!

I, too, like the turquoise and copper swirl bracelet necklace or earrings the most. But if you really only wanted from the three you posted for the contest then it would be the steampunk necklace. Love everything you do and thanks!

I would LOVE to learn how to make the Steampunk Gear Heart Pendant Necklace. I make jewelry and that just jumps out at me so much! I LOVE it!

I want to say that I'm happy that you are going to work to keep your blog identity even if doing giveaways. I've joined some blogs that get so lost in that and it changes everything. It would be awesome for you to keep being YOU and still get to "show a little love" now and then!

Love your blog! It keeps my creativity always going and when I have my slump moments, I can always drop by for inspiration.

Hi Amy, I would love to see how to make the Steampunk Heart Pendant Necklace.

After the loss of my sweet baby girl I am into things that represent love, a girl friend of mine gave me a necklace with a large shaped tear made out of crystal that I keep hanging around my rear view mirror with a ribbon of her favorite color.

I love the detail of the metal on this heart and I am guessing at what the metal is? Maybe from a watch? I am curious, but that being said you did such a great job (as you usually do) that I would love to see any of the tutorials. Keep up the great job! I love reading your blog! Thanks
